Getting a drive shaft balanced
Ok, I think that the LS1 drive shaft I bought is out of balance. I got wierd vibrations at low speeds and my pinion seal took a dump in about a month. I was just wondering if anybody knew a place somwhere not too far from Downers Grove that does good driveshaft work for not too much money. If the cost is going to aproach 100 bucks i might as well put it up on e-bay and put the steel shaft back in.

I had Chicago Driveline in Alsip shorten, balance, and put a new yoke and 2 new u-joints in a driveshaft last summer (I was changing the Powerglide in my '66 for a 700R4) and it was like $175.00 for everything.
It's gotta be a lot cheaper just to balance one.

Indiana Driveline did mine.
Used some new super duper u-joints and replace my yoke with one I had and balancing was just under a 100$ or 125$. Think it was like 98$
later
