Cops and Snow

I know its not a good idea to drive a RWD in the snow but thats all I've got. But here is my story, I was driving down Central Ave. in Portage, IN, there is about 3 in of snow on the road and about 6in on the edges. I am cruising at a comfortable 30mph when a guy in a full size ford truck flies past in the lane next to me sliding back a forth. So my reaction is to slowly move over but I caught a nastly bump while i was turning and spun out into a cross street. So I ended up in 6in of snow facing back out on the steet where I was. So I try to slowly get out, then I nail it, then I shovel the snow away, then I get pissed. Not because I am stuck but because while I was trying to get out two cops drive by and look directly at me and don't stop. Then I try something new while another cop drives by. But what really pissed me off is when the cop in the police hummer drove by and did not stop. But I am sure that a cop would stop and give me a ticket if I had be doing donuts. I will let it be know that I could see the police station from where I was stuck. But I finally go out under the cars own power and I got to thinking. The cops are there to help us and enforce the law so why don't they do a little helping. No wonder why there is no generocity in the world, bad leaders.

dude do you really think that cops are there to help us. If you were a woman do you think one of the cops would just drive by.

SERVE AND PROTECT-for the $ithches maybe
HARASS AND COLLECT A PAYCHECK-these are the duties they perform for us

Honestly I can not think of one time when a cop helped me out.

I have been thoroughly screwed by just about every cop I've ever encountered; whether on duty or otherwise. About 1/5 of the people I run across who really hate cops are former cops who couldn't deal with the hypocrisy and quit. I've time and time again tried to get to know cops on a personal level and they've screwed me, too! I guess it's something about that "Type A" personality...

heres my little story

we had just got my buddies car running after swapping trans. first place we headed was the gas station. we didnt make it, a little more then a mile away. where we happened to run out of gas was by a place cops like to run radar. they see us parked (its like 3 am in a small town) and come over to see whats going on. we asked if they would give us a ride to the gas station, they said no, i said youre here to protect and serve right? he said no, that we had to walk, and that if we didnt move the car, he was going to issue my friend a ticket (we had just coasted to kinda between 2 parking spots at a closed insurance place. so we pushed the car into 1 spot, and proceeded to walk. that sucked

It was the first real snow of the season and I had not gotten any weight yet. I was being a hipacrit because I did not want those bags of sand in my car. And yeah I did get my car painted, its only flat black but it looks cool with tinted windows and tail light black outs. No snow tires either, o well.

"to protect and to serve" i think any one of the cops coud have stopped to make sure he was ok and offered to call a tow truck if he needed it. i've broken down a couple of times and the county cops have always been friendly and helpful.... i was pulling a friend out a ditch w/ my truck and a county cop pulled up and stopped traffic for me to pull him out... he didn't have to pull him out, but he could have stopped to check... it could have even been a car thief that stole a camaro, so in a way it would have behooved him to stop....

you yourself said you simply spun out onto a cross street into a meer 6 inches of snow......wowwwwwwwwww hardly a life and death situation that needed assistance.and it didnt sound like you had traffic problems or lane blockage that needed assistance and being that you were in a town if you really needed a tow i think theres still pay phones around and a new device called a cell phone? you really need someone to make a call for you?that ended when i was in about 6th grade, after that i learned how and when to call for myself!!!!! see my point
theres no reason a cop should have to allocate resources on a day like that to help someone who is the farthest thing from needing help.oh no..you were stuck.bfd
ok say he stopped and called for a tow.would you really want to and be ready to pay 100 dollars for a tow to pull you out?probably not.
folk now adays are too dependant on others and cant function for themselves.i take it your on the younger side and dont remeber when we actually got real snow around here and in the city where they would never plow side streets the snow would pile up and there were only 2 ruts in which to drive in and if you didnt make it you got stuck and were left with 2 options,ge tit out or simply leave the car there.

Man you guys are jerks, some of us don't have a lot of money to have second cars or to call tow trucks but we still enjoy having these cars. If you don't like my story then don't read it. I help all kinds of people when they need help, I have done hundreds of hours of community service in my time, all volunteer because it feels good to help people out. Try it you might like how it feels.

O and today I helped a guy push his truck around a corner because it died at the stop sign. While everone else was honking and giving dirty looks.

But I should have charged him for helping him push, I don't think so, it's called being nice. I was happy for the thanks and the hand shake.

That isn't nesscarily true State Cops (in Indiana) are paid the worst and right now can't even get people to join so they have lower their standards to GED or Dimploma, Some Countys have better standards to meet, Also STATE TROOPERS mostly enforce traffic on interstate and what not (so that wouldn't make them the most experianced).... Lake or Porter County probably have more high profile cases....City cops in SMALLER City yea the might let go to their head, but most County are pretty cool.... And the only reason you probably get harassed is cause your doing something stupid... Like you said you out ran the City and Sheriff before So dont say they just picked you out of the crowd cause they want go fight you in court for a Whole Freaking Day about wheather you were doing 75 or 85 either way you broke the law.........Also cops never do anything right just harrass and collect paychecks...like it is worth the money Yea right! Why dont you go tell that to the family of a Cop die during 9/11 cause they were goin in the building to harrass or a Cops family that die because some DUBMASS WANTED OUTRUN THE COPS AND THE COP WENT OFF THE ROAD AND DIE!! O'and if you can't get along with any cop in the world because they are all *******s........think about it.......You are the *******!!

ok, how about if he spun out and got stuck b/c he had a heart attack or went into a diabetic coma.... is that better? so what you're saying is that cops do not have to stop for anything they can't make an arrest for....ever...

no dodger ,if he had a heart attack he would probably have been slumped over the wheel, but since he was seen outside of his car shoveling snow i hardly doubt anyone could have mistaken that for a heart attack...see the difference.........the cops drove by and looked, saw some mope stuck,,he wasnt in distress or requiring any medical attention, wasnt a traffic hazard or a hazard to himself so they moved on..simple as that.........

I think that Coult_91 is a cop and anthony714 has a close relative that was a cop. I am not going to go into my reasons because they are very personal but from my experience in the Chi-town area cops are only on the street to help women. A woman in cook county can call the police and say that a man threatened her with no evidence and you will be arrested an put in cook county jail with 5000 to get out. ^uck that ****. Next time a piggy comes for me on some Pu$$y **** he will get what is coming to him.

As for 9/11 I did not feel one bit sorry for the piggies who had to run into that building. I would have said no because I am not a dumb a$$ who would run into a building that had be impailed by a 747. Nothing is worth that kind of risk.

Man, I am not saying all cops are bad, but it does not seem right to just drive by without even stopping to see if I needed a ride or a phone to call for help. My family has alot of close ties with cops and some of them are good people but that small bunch of them are what gives them a bad name. And I am pretty sure Coult91 is not a cop. BK

I just hope you never come my way. Your training is a joke I wore a trident in the Navy. Everytime you pigs come in contact with me you should kiss my feet. I have really had it with the complex you cops have. You think you are bad a$$es just because you shot a 9 at a cardboard box. I slept in a tree for 3 days motionless, using the bathroom on myself to get the right shot to keep you panzies wearing you badges safe.

Come find me and pull that badge and find out how much wieght it bears.

As far as 911 Your superiors did not go running into that building just the grunts and a few of those grunts told thier bosses to go #$%^ themselves and are better off today for it.

You are a wanna bee. all wraped up in the hoopla of ditching your formar self. the weak minded cant think for himself pu$$y that needs to make up for his lack of self esteem.

Be reminded that there are squids like me out there that are fed up with cop bs. I could take your loosy 9 from you and stick it up your @ss and make you lick the barrel.

jamon, your **** 1 or 2 inches long because from your anger it would seem as if you are lacking something which is causing you an inferiority complex of some kind???
maybe you caught some shrinkage diease while you were laying in that tree for 3 days pissing all over yourself...btw thats not something you brag about.
and if you are so proud to be a squid go reenlist and do what you claim to love so much,or wont they take you back.
btw, while you were pissing on yourself for 3 days "waiting for the right shot" did you get the shot off and who di dyou shoot, let me guess "the enemy" a "bad guy" sure.... someone your commander said needed to die right?who was that?

you guys are testing me arent you. You know what it is not worth me getting this hot about.

Just know that I hate cops, I do not need them, I will be just fine without you.

But next time a woman that I wanted nothing to do with and shunned, called you piggies and says he was a such and such and I am afraid because he threated to kill me. She had better have some damn good evidence because I will not sit in county jail again for anyone.

Understand

Not to violate the TOS here, but this is really turning into a bitchfest very quickly. OK...I have a personal problem with cops. Not all cops, per se, but all the ones I've met thus far because they treated me like an *** no matter how I acted toward them. I'm typically very polite because until they open their mouth I don't know if they're gonna be the bad kind of cop or not. My point is: I give everyone a chance. I'd love to finally meet a cop who didn't suck ***, but thus far, they all have. I'm telling it like it is; at least from my perspective. I know there are cops on this board and I've no problem with any of you, but we haven't actually met yet.

As far as stating the people who risked their lives at the WTC buildings wasted them, that's a really, really, REALLY screwed up thing to say. It's cool if you want to have that opinion, but that's the kind of thing you keep to yourself because it will cause retaliation. My girlfriend's ex was killed in that building. As I understand it, everything was great and one day he was gone. I hate that she had to go through that. Watch yourself, man, cause if you say that to the wrong person's face, they may actually kill you for it. As stated before...chill...

I started the tread just to tell a story, it has gotten out of hand so lets call it quits and think of the thing we have in common...................our sweet cars? Sorry to create any problems.

I have not heard of many Navy snipers, were you a seal or some type of special forces. It is a serious question, I was just curious. And I understand unlike others that killing that one guy probably saved alot of your friends or helped aid in the mission.

Wow I'm invoking IROC law

Immature retards out cruising :-)

(if u have an IROC dont have a cow, just thought it fit here)

For the love of *** give it a break. For everyone cussing and swearing in this post, consider that your first and final warning.

If u cannot make a point without invoking 4 letter words, dont bother to post here.

Read the rules
