I live in Fox Lake IL. My engine is done being built and I now need to program my chip. I dont really want to send my chip through the mail because it wont be a perfect tune. Does anyone near me program there own chips? If so would anyone be willing to make a couple of extra bucks and help me out.

I ca help u out thru PM's and such, but u need to do as much on your own as possible, there are a few others into it on the board that might be able to help u out with the basics some also.

try www.tbichips.com or www.tpichips.com they are both the same company, tell brian Jason code 33 sent you. He will give you the hook up and he is honest to his promise. A nice Christian Guy. I have had him reflash my chip 4 times without any extra charge when i added parts that need to be reflashed.

 

the only way to really dial in you setup is with diy prom i know from expirance there is too many variables as to what your car will like you will never get it to its full potential with mail order chips diy prom all the way

i got all my burning software for about 220$ but i bought tuner cat you dont have to but i would recomend it

 

I know what U R saying, this guy that tunes the chips at www.tbichips.com and www.tpichips.com knows his stuff and combos, plus his chips are for around $100.00. He is a Christian based Biz and has helped me out and refashed my chip at no chrge extra everytime I got a new part. Also, his turn around time is 3-4 days. Do what you want, but if you are on a budget, keep the extra $250 and go with a guy like this one that has a good rep and has been around the block. He used moates tunning on one of my cars and he has been honest to his promise ever since.
