Haha, that's kind of funny. I sent him an e-mail soon after that event telling him which parts I ran and was wondering if he'd like to sponsor a competitor who would actually promote him and his product and he never replied back.
A couple months ago I found the picture of my car on his site and e-mailed him again. Still, no response.
Now, I'm in his print ad! I'm a little ticked.
Anyway, thanks for taking the pic, Dave. You guys are going to have to come out on Sunday again. I won't be racing on Saturday due to a wedding, but you won't hardly recognize the car vs. last year. It's going to look a lot more "race car" and a lot less "stock Firebird" now

Yep, I saw that a while ago, Dave. Still ticks me off.
We'll see if the ideas I've got on the burner pay off. If they do, Spohn will wish he was working with me to get more of the handling business instead of just the straight line stuff.
I've got a rear coilover setup going together that costs less then his and mounts the shocks inverted for less unsprung weight. That doesn't even make it into the secret squirrel ideas that haven't ever been done to a 3rd gen.

Either way, it's cool that you made it into print lol
I spent some quality thrash time on that thing too, so even if it was kinda shady, it's still cool to get press time.
I would call him TJ, worth a shot

Yeah, I probably should but I never get home in time to call anything in the Eastern time zone before they close.
I was a little hot when I wrote that, which usually isn't my style. Spohn is still a good shop and I'm glad to have them around, I just wish they would reply to e-mail.
