Finally!!!

Well after 5 long and hard fought years( 2 kids and a divorce) the TPI swap is officially done. I took my baby on its Maiden voyage tonight with little issue. Pics to come it was way to dark out to take any.
Just a oil leak and some fluid on the headers causin smoke, but she runs great.
I can't ait to get it up to the track to see what it will do. Then I can start figuring out what to do next. well atleast with in my broke ***' budget that is.

So now that that is over. Anybody got a power window switch? I need one for the pass side is pretty much dead.

You don't know Denny? You are so close to the main ThirdGen Parts man in Illinois. Denny is LFN AT U...the moderator of the No.West Indiana/So. Chicago board (this board we are on)...he has a farm in Crete right off I394 that is full of Camaro / Firebird parts...probably 10-20 minutes from you...he is also the host of ThirdGen Fest every Memorial Day weekend...go to the NoW.Indiana/So Chicago board where it list the mods and click his link or go to his site www.Thirdgenranch.com ...any part you need he has....

Got my Por-15...just trying to find the right time to do it because the instructions mention humidity curing time...can you pmail me a cell number?

Re: Finally!!!

Not yet had to get plates and ins for her. Got them taken apart and cleaned up. I need to get a porting kit and screw in studs(and hardware to put them in) Lookin at over 300 for everything valves and springs included, but not machine work. I'm gonna port them myself and put in screw in studs, then I'll have em cut for 1.94 intakes and milled. Thinkin the heads may not go on the 305 but save them for the 350(383) all depends on the money situation. I'm hopin to start it over the winter bc I'm not gonna take the car down again this year its been way to long since I have enjoyed her. I'll be gettin crank and rods from metallicamarors next weekend but i still need a block. I have 2 4 bolt blocks but I think i want a newer roller block. what do you guys think should I use on of my blocks or get a newer one. If i use one of mine do I need to do any machine work to the valley for use with a roller cam? as it looks a I'won't be able to really start it till after the new year begins

Any one know of a good inexpensive place around here I could get my Yokahama's mounted and balanced? The goodforayears' are shot on the plus side i can fry them with ease bc they have no traction left.

He buys parts and will trade. Denny is easy to work with. He is just hard to catch up with sometimes but once you do it is well worth it.

Re: Finally!!!

got my car after i got my house. actually sold my 87 to help buy the house then i missed it so much i bought this one. Now that the swap is done I'm planning my next moves. I'm trying to piece together a 350 but I want a roller block and all i have is 2 old 4 bolt main non roller blocks. I got 081 heads and am picking up an entire rotating assembly for a 350 soon now all I need is the block. if I can get one cheap or trade for one I should be able to get it together and in the car for next summer. Just have to wait and see.
