anybody ever seen this TA?
i bought it back in 01, sold it in 02, bought it back in 03, and sold it again in 04 to a guy in the Gary/Hammond area through Indiana Auto and RV. just curious what ever became of it.
it's an 86 TA with T Tops, and had all of the options at one point.
shortly after i bought it.
when it left me, it had a mildly built 355 in it, with an Edelbrock intake and carb, Edelbrock headers and Y pipe, Flowmaster catback. should be pretty noticable due to the L88 scoop on the hood...
i know it looks terrible, but on the shoestring budget i was building it on, it was the best i could do. put the whole car together for less than $1700, $900 of which was in the exhaust, sold for $2000, bought back for $800, then sold for $1200 IIRC.
the interior was also pretty unique... basic black TA interior, but at some point the original owner decided that the seats needed recovered. he owns an interior shop, so he did the seats himself, and here is the result.
anybody ever seen this car? i'm really curious what ever became of it. i know when the guy left here with it there was snow in the forecast, and he had no heat and no wipers. i dont even know if he made it home with the car.

Can't remember that far back if i seen that. I use to spend alot of time in gary/hammond in early 2000's

but for a $300 car, i wasnt about to bitch about the seats. stock LG4/700 car 1 owner, like 90K on it. motor started to knock, so he took it to a little hole in the wall shop. the guy meticulously disasembled, cleaned and inspected the entire engine. had it all layed out and labeled on 2 long benches.
then disappeared 2 days later with all of the engine, and $5000 worth of F100 parts from my uncle. left the car sitting outside the shop with the tranny hanging by the mount and the TV cable. it got drug back to the interior shop and stuffed in a corner for a few years until i saw it. originally struck up a deal for $500, then after stopping in every payday giving him $100 a week for 3 weeks, he told me that he knew i was going to make something good out of it, and signed the title over to me.
