1G1FP87F4FL =

1G - US built Chevrolet
1FP87 - Chevrolet Camaro 2 door coupe
F - engine type - 5.0 (305 cid) TPI LB9
4 - check digit
F - model year 1985
L - build plant Van Nuys, CA.

The LB9 was available w/ Z28 and IROC in 1985 but only w/ auto tranny. IROC RPO was B4Z. Is that some where on your car?

but the iroc-Z decals on the side of the car are right and another question i had is the pain mine is a Dark Blue with silver damper and skirts so its two tone i was under the impression that there were no two tone Iroc-z's and also like i said it doesnt matter to me either way if she is or if she isnt i just want to know for sure D****t...

The Steering Brace (also known as the Wonderbar) performs two functions. First, it ties the left and right sides of the frame together under the front of the car, which maintains the correct geometry of the pitman arm and idler arm during cornering. You can think of it as a Strut Tower Brace (STB) for the bottom of the car if you like to see a pic of one go hawks third gen and look under Strut Tower & Steering Braces because mine did not have on it and all the iroc i have seen have this bar on them

An easy check is the door placard, which should provide info for 16" wheels. No 16's in 85, no IROC. No two tone IROC's.
