what's up Trans Am, i remember ya. Been awhile for sure. I too am missing thirdgens, since i sold my GTA back in '10 (i think) and still wanting one badly. Uncle is selling his GTA convertible...but I'm not touching that, i can't afford a mint car like his...

are you going to be back in the scene with a new ride or a project?

Re: Been a long time since I've been here...

there was a '89 iroc z for sale in the schaumburg area about a week ago that was posted on ebay, it didn't meet the reserve (don't know what it was) as it was at a current bid of 1,120....kinda beat up, but a perfect candidate for restoration. It was a hardtop 350/4 wheel disc, dark red color. I have his number if your interested, never got a around to calling him on the car. I'm not sure if has sold it as i haven't seen him repost the car back on ebay.
If you were interested in originality, my uncle is selling his GTA convertible...but it may be out of the price range of what your looking for...

Thanks for the info, but I'm more of a bird guy. Kind of interested in a restomod more than a correct restoration.

Re: Been a long time since I've been here...

yeah, i'm kinda in the same boat. I mean i want my car back, but at the same time i would like to find a car that i can do a conversion. Either possible a racer or a resto mod as well.

Actually, I know someone who just bout a convertible GTA (not my uncle's) but has another '88 GTA hardtop that's going for sale soon. It's mostly all original with receipts of services. If your interested in that, I can get the contact # and what not...Let me know!

Re: Been a long time since I've been here...

I've still got my GTA, and it should be on the road this year with the built engine, rebuilt steering, and suspension components.

But I've been rocking a Focus ST as the daily. And sometimes its hard to remember why I don't sell the GTA and just mod the Focus. But that will only last until I fire up the GTA for the first time and take it down the road. Love my thirdgens.

I'm still kicking.

Still have all my piles.

Tinkering along on a LS1 swap.

Need $$$ for TTA trans.

Two kids, house and assloads of overtime make for no time for anything.

For those that remember it...does anyone know where my white '87 Trans Am may be these days?

This is a very old pic of it.
