looking for parts car around here
I am in need of a parts car and I was wondering if anyone knows of a really good place to find one. I want to spend less than $500, preferably a lot less. I have looked all over local classifides and craigslist only to find a lot of crap deals on cars with no title and expensive looking rims and aftermarket ground effects for close to a grand. if anyone knows of a thirdgen graveyard or a junkyard with lots of thirdgens please post it here

You see a decent roller pop up once in a while in various car postings but your best bet is to just purchase a thirdgen for 1-3K and recoup your losses by parting it out (what you don't need) and selling or parting out your old car. I purchased a non-running thirdgen complete for $650 and sold a few pieces of it and then sold it to the junk yard for $350. I got all the parts I wanted for free by that time. My current Camaro's body is in rusty shape so I am going to do the same thing again, purchase a Camaro and part it out so I only keep the body. My experience has been that the "roller" you see for sale is usually in so-so shape at best and it's better to get one that is running and part it out. Maybe an option would be if the junk yard would sell you a thirdgen in their lot?

Denny at ThirdGen Ranch has tons of parts and decent prices as well.
