The Sy/Ty crowd here is strong with the force. We have a consistent showing of 5-6 Typhoons. Tonight, we had what feels like every Typhoon registered in IL + maybe the only Syclone too.

Years ago I had a friend that put a big block Chevy in one of these things. Talk about a tight fit. Was like a high compression 427 with a solid cam. Wish I knew where that thing went!

I love the Cyclone. Never really understood the reasoning of having a high performance SUV though. Just seems weird to me. In saying that there is a local guy with a TrackHawk causing terror around here with the other street cars I hear. Lol

I absolutely love Typhoons! And for whatever reason, I've never owned one. The Syclone's are pretty awesome, too, but a little small for my 6'5", 270lb body lol.

A good buddy of mine sold his customized and modded Typhoon around 2002, to Bode Miller of the U.S. Olympic Ski Team at that time... I guess he is a huge Sy/Ty fan, too and has owned several of them.

Here's a pic of it. It was a theft recovery, so it has all different body cladding on it.

That is a pretty cool Typhoon, I haven’t seen one in the wild for quite a few years. That body kit is interesting, looks like 2nd gen TA fender air extractor on the front fender?

Yeah the body kit was for an S10 and fused together to work on the Typhoon. All of the used OEM parts were SUPER expensive to buy, and he was having trouble locating all of them so he went this route. It was a prior salvage title, anyways. Yep, the Trans Am heat extractor was flipped around to make an air inlet. The hood scoop and that vent were both functional

Oh man...oh, man...I wanted one so bad in H.S.
I love the idea of a performance SUV personally.
these were actually ahead of their time as that is a relatively recent craze (Porsche Cayanne, Alfa Romeo Stelvio, Jaguar F-Pace).

Over the years, I was going to buy a Typhoon. This, going back to 1993 when green was a hit color.

These were great, but poor quality assembly of the GMC Jimmy they were built upon.
