Well, for those traveling to the party, I found a site with all the hotels within 7 miles of Crete (http://www.epodunk.com/cgi-bin/local...&Submit=Search) and a few nearby campgrounds (http://www.switchboard.com/bin/cgidi...20&Search.y=14).

Just to note, if you're planning to camp, the first three places in the campground link (Forest Preserve and Emerald Trails) are less than five minutes from my house!!! If you're looking for a place to stay locally these places would be great!!!

 

As I live in the area, I can vouch for Plum Creek. It's a nice and pretty place in the summertime
