I ran the 1/8 mile last thursday and I'm curious to see if these times, sound OK. I ran a best et of 9.037 @ 77 mph my 60 ft time was 2.1x. I made my runs in 70 degree weather, on 245/50/r16 firestone all-seasons. Evidently the track was preped pretty good, because later I got an even better 60 ft of 2.054.
The car bogged off the line, I think only gears or a torque converter will help that. Tell me what you guys think.

With those mods I think you can do a little better. I have a 91 Formula 350 WS6 with a few mods (see sig) and run almost as good.
60' - 2.0628
1/8 - 9.0628
76.45 mph
Your car sounds like where I want to be in terms of mod, intake and exaust especially. I do have 3.23 gears on mine which helps the 60' time. Were you spinning your tires excessively on launch? I want to get some MT ET drags for the strip. You need to install a drive shaft loop if you run slicks though.
PS I don't know why my sig doesnt' show up. Mods are Jet airfoil, standard fastchip for 350 tpi, Open filter element, MSD Blaster GM coil, cap and rotor. That's it

I think I could do better, by shifting a little earlier. I was shifting around 5300 rpm. I think between that and the fact my brakes were weak, and I couldn't build up then engine against them, I could probably gain a tenth between those changes. I will be working on my brakes in the next week or so. I might go back to the track after that. I'm still using factory runners, so I'm sure that hurts me. I wasn't spinning my tires on those runs, but like I said, my brakes wouldn't hold it, they definately need work. Thanks for the responses. I would probably run a 14.1 or so in the 1/4 wouldn't I?

We have pretty much the same setup.
The best I ran is 13.87 @ 99.? and that is with 2.77 gears too.
With your setup you should be shifting at 5200rpms.
I let the the tranny shift from 1st to 2nd and then I shift at 5200 to 5400rpms from 2nd to 3rd and got my best time. But I think I could have gotten better times but I didn't have the time to stay athe track.
