i am wanting to buy an older car that is easy to work on and fairly cheap to mod.the 2 cars i have narrowed it down 2 are a 90-93 mustang or a 89-92 camaro i didnt know where to post this but you guys seem to know what your talking about in here and the main reason i want this car is to race so i figgured id post it here so if any onw has any suggestions pls let em know thanx in a dvance

well i'd say get a 89-92 camaro with the L98 motor and a 700R4 trans. Or find yourself a 305TPI with a 5speed

MAKE sure it's the L98 motor though....you don't want the 305 auto combo if you can buy a 350.

 

so the l98 is what i need and dont worry ill get a 5-speed.If someone could please give me say ahh 5 reasons to get a maro over a stang:P thanx guys

 

There's probably a better aftermarket for mustang parts than there is camaro. You buy what you like, not what someone suggests.

 

CAMARO:
1. Better looking
2. Better aerodynamics
3. Handle better
4. bigger
5. wider

MUSTANG:
1. Bigger Escort
2. Box on wheels
3. Handle like doody around turns
4. weigh less
5. not as wide

Its all personal preferance...use my list as no reference because most of it is just my opinion, you just asked for 5 reasons so I gave you 5 reasons (sorta)

i am going to look at a 1989 camaro with a 350 it has a dd trans but idunno what the hell a dd trans is so if someone could help me out there i would apreciate it

from the factory the 89 camaro with a 350 tpi (L98) should come with a 700 R4 automatic tranny with over drive.. 1,2,D,OD

 

you prolly confused dd with OD, which is overdrive
