Going To Run My Car, Quick Question??
I am going to run my car this sunday. However, the tranny is going to hell. It shifts out of 1st way late, and I'm not too sure how it will do under WOT, but I'm going to give it one good run.
My question is this, if it does hurt my ET, how might it affect my mph? I ask because let's say the tranny causes a 14 sec pass, I was wondering if I might still be able to get a good high mph to maybe have an idea of what it could run.

A worn out trans sucks up hp like a leech. I gained like .3 secs and gained 3mph when I installed my new Coan trans. I guess I did have a little bit better convertor too, but it actually made my 60ft times a lot worse. When you do have enough money saved I'd suggest going to the track and purposely gernading your trans by driving your car as hard as possible. This will give you all the reason you need fo purchasing a new trans.
