just bought firebird and looking for ET guesses

hey guys. Im 17 and i just got a 1987 Firebird. Its a v8, has a 305, it an automatic and is pretty stock to my knowledge but the guy i bought it from liked mustangs so he really didnt know what mods it might have. the hood has an induction but doesnt appear to be functional. this is my 1st car, i see you guys talking abot gear ratios, tpi's and cams and all this. I dunno what i got. i started it up for my friend and he thinks the exhaust isnt stock. its pretty loud, hs great idle. i was wondering what i might be looking at in the 1/4 mile. thanks. tips for my car are appreciated, if you know what some good mods would be. so far i hear new headers and ignition systems are the 1st upgrades needed. anyway gimme some ET guesses

Karl

16's, maybe high 15's

Since no 2 cars are alike, if you want to know what it will run, take it to the track

Since the two of us have pretty similar cars, you should be pretty close to my time... 16.3

Could probably get into the upper 15's with some tuning, and traction improvement.

naw my carb dont look weird, i mean nothig stands out about it so i guess its ok. my air induction tube like lines up where the headlights close. theres like no airflow there! i have a non functional hood induction hood, i might cut the part of the hood where there normally would be a space and try to put my tube up there...i dont know if it will work though...ill go post it on the engine section
