91 formula stomps lightning

Good looking spiffy new, Lightning, loses by almost 2 car lengths in the 1/8mile to my 91 Formula. OK, I ve got lots of bolt ons, Nittos and a TH350 tranny with 2800 stall, but still.....

I have seen some fast lightnings out there, modified. HALO (Houston Area Lightning owners) club. Seen some run in the high 7s for 1/8 mile.

Felt good, even though I only ran 8.7.

My slowest run of the year was T&T with a Lightning in the other lane. 14.49 to 14.44.

But I treed him good, .011 to .05-something (he caught me right at the stripe).
