soft longitudinal mount, good or bad?

Compare a rwd liveaxle setup gen3, one with rubber bushings in the lca's, to one thats solid metal to metal.
My question is: which one hooks up better?.
...
Launch from standing start, tires are spinning, car is moving forward slowly, you let up on the gas, sooner or later the tires will stop spinning (hook). It seems to me that a rubber mount
would be slightly helpful, as that might help the tires get a grip on the road, as the rubber lets the axle move slightly forward wrt the car.
Of course, everyone else thinks that metal to metal is better.
What point am I missing? Please enlighten me.

your absolute best (for racing, not for street) is an adjustable lca with rod ends on both ends. that's why all the guys with 4links run rod ends. they are noisier for the road though and will create a much harsher ride for a daily driver. if it's a daily driver, i would look at a set with poly bushings.

You don't want any excessive movement in the suspension. It's lost energy that should be going to the wheels.

Rubber bushings are soft and quishy for a reason. They absorb road noise and give a softer ride but give poor control as performance suspension.

Poly bushings are firmer and don't compress as much so there's less chance of the suspension moving around and they still provide a quiet ride.

Rod ends are a considered a race only item. They're noisy so you can hear every little bump as they bang under the car. They also have no excessive movement so all the chassis movement is under total control. Rod ends also wear out quicker. A street driven car with a rod end suspension should have the ends replaced every couple of years.

If your tires are spinning when you launch, you're not going to find a suspension component to stop them. You need sticky tires first before changing the suspension.

An adjustable torque arm allows you to change the pinion angle which can effect how the diff tries to rotate under hard accelleration. Using LCA relocation brackets allows you to lower the rear of the LCA which can reduce the amount of wheel hop. The panhard bar centers the diff under the car because of how a third gen suspension is set up. It's just like a diagonal link on a ladder bar or 4 link system.
