rpm problems...

from idle to 2000 rpm it has a pretty strong take-off, BUT from 2000 until 4000 rpm it kinda falls back, then after 4000rpm it gets a bit stronger again.

it is the 87 camaro in my sig WITHOUT the 4.10 rearend (2.93 at the moment)

what can it be?

timing is about 14 advanced

i make 1/4 mile times of 15.34 at the moment so there is lots of work to do, huh?

please help, i built this car in 4-5 years, only to be 0.50 seconds faster then my 84 camaro

Sound like a fuel problem. Try raising the float levels in the carb. Put jet extensions in the rear bowl.

You also need at least a 750 carb to match the rest of the stuff listed in your sig. Good heads, high compression, good exhaust, moderate stall converter mixed with a tiny carb. The 2.93 gears aren't helping either. They're not allowing the engine to pull quickly into it's powerband.
