sorta good launch pic

Sis in law tried what she could, but camera obviously is'nt the greatest.

Moderator edit:
Picture way too big for dialup users and updated pic already done in message below. Could possibly be a size between them.

Nice wheels up launch.

Take the first pic and do some cropping before making it smaller. We don't really need to see all that background.

I need to get back to the track before the season is over. The local photographer took some pics of my car with the new cowl scoop doing burnouts and launches. I should have some new "action" shots also. I really need some video.

I hear ya, this has been burning my butt since I got the car figured out. We've had photographers down 3x's, but it's always on race day so I have to use my small t-brake pill which only result in a minor drivers side only wheel up. Glad I at least got this one, even though it's not the quality the real photo's guys offer as far as detail/color. I think this winter though a dig camcorder is on the to do list, would like for the fun of watching my car, but would be great as a tuning aid. Too hard when you have 5 or 6 of your buddies telling you what your car is doing and every story is a little different than the other. I did notice in this picture the rear end seems to be seperarting, alomst like the older mopars do. Might just be the way the car is flexing since I cant really see the other side, but either way it's alot of gap between the drivers side rear tire and the wheel well lip.

One thing is for certain, the descion to use the tubes looks to be the right one. From what I can see the sidewall is not getting ripped to shreds like they were with the regular Hoosier DOT slicks and no tubes. But once I get the 4.56 installed that will probably change too.

I am having a slight problem with the car wanting to pull right when it gets these 1.480-1.488 60's with the big pill. It might just be the groove? It's nothing Im really concerned about since I can always stay in it and drive out of it, but just something I noticed when using the big chip, or taking somebody for a ride it does the same thing. With the small 3000 pill in it leaves straight as an arrow.

I suppose if I had adjustable LCA I could preload the pass side a little bit, but I only get to use the 4200 pill when I'm playing anyways, so dont know if that'd even be worth the trouble. Was hopeing the higher staging rpm would wrap the tires more since it's hitting it harder, then I could still have a consistent R/T, but it's not the case

Through the pipes in street driven form is my favorite part. Sucks now with the taller tire I lost .2 and I probably wont re-gear until this winter so I'm not even gonna bother dropping the exhaust until the car is ready for it again. I just need to hurry up and get my sub-box built and rearrange my system so I can have some bumps again I get tired of listening to the motor all the time so I took the 8" bazookas outta my work truck and strapped them down in the hatch area between my down bars of the rear cage. Once we got this thing operating properly, that first hard launch ripped the straps right out of the floor where they were screwed down and it tore up my tint on the hatch Hence the flush mount sub box with concealed amps underneath it all. So long as nothing breaks this year, winter projects should be on the lighter side!!

I love the fact that most people on these forums claim their cars weigh in the "3500-3700" range without them in the car and your raceweight with a cage, subs, turbo 400, ford 9" and driver is 3550 pounds .

I dont have any of the HVAC duct work or items to make it functional. I removed what I could from the 4th gen dash before I installed, so the dash "looks" complete the controls are non funtional. This winter I'm having a guy here that makes electronic controls for burnout rpm and staging rpm make a custom unti that utilize the stock HVAC control ***** so it'll look stock, allow me to do away with the MSD 3 step under the hood, and be more in the WOW factor.

When I changed everythig over this spring I figured I'd gain some weight with the TH400 and the 9", but going to actual aluminum heads saved some so from last years weight of 3440 to now 3557 I did'nt gain as much as I thought I would. The sub box is not yet made or in the car-the 3557lb was with the 2 8" bazookas though. So once it's all said and done I'll porbably be in the high 3600-low 3700 weight and I'll have to come up with some more tweaking to get back down into the 10's with the added weight. Heck, maybe I'll finally get a 434sbc and call it quits for awhile?
