a little deeper in the 12's
i put some drag radials on my car so i could be more
consistant a do some tuning yesterday . they didn't help
my 60 foot that much ( 1.88 bridgestones best , 1.83 dr best)
but made the car much more consistant .
1rst run
1.87 60 8.42 1/8 @81.32 mph 13.09 1/4 @103.54
slower than last year by a .10 1 mph
i added 1 degree timing
2nd run
1.83 60 8.35 1/8 @81.54 mph 13.02 1/4 @103.35
added 1 more degree timing
3rd run
1.87 60 8.48 1/8 @80.31 mph 13.24 1/4 @101.63
does not like more timing , went back to starting point on timing
and subtracted 2 degrees more
4rth run
1.89 60 8.33 1/8 @83.19 mph 12.88 1/4 @106.26
i left it alone and ran again
5th run
1.83 60 8.27 1/8 @83.04 mph 12.84 1/4 @106.16
that's 1.5 tenths and 1 mph faster than last year
even better my transmission would not shift from first
to second correctly which raised shift rpm to 6100 rpm
300 rpm later than normal . fix that and there is a few hundredth's . play with timing some more maybe another
.10 , i might have a low 12.70 - upper 12.60 in it ..

Vortec heads have an efficient combustion chamber and don't like a lot of timing. 34* of total timing with my old setup gave me 108mph and 12.6's. 38* of total timing with my old setup gave me 12.6's and 108 mph. 36* of total timing was worth 12.4's and 110+ mph passes
