New best for black car

The black car (son) ran better this weekend. 6.90 ET @ 98.5 MPH in 1/8th mile w/1.44 60'. Son made it to final round (7 Rounds total) in sportsman.

The red car lost in second round when car launched from out of groove. Major driver error, me.

Sounds like you guys just keep finding more in it every week. Nice work.

Is there an ET break for sportsman?

Nice to see the black car getting a little faster and going to the final round.

I do not think there is an ET break as the fastest car runs 5.xx.

The engine is a .030" over 350 4 bolt block. Forged crank, H beam rods and dome pistons. Cam is mech roller, .630 lift/265 duration. Single plane intake and 750 D/P. Heads are 235/64 aluminum pro toplines. headers are 1-3/4 hooker LT w/18 collector extensions.

Trans is TH-400, 5750 stall converter and 5.14 gears in 9" moser.

Haven't got the 830DP sorted yet? Actually, in the 1\8th mile it wouldn't surprise me if the 750DP works out better.

Been swapping back and forth some. Recommendation from others that head intake runner is too big for application. Car likely would have been quicker with lowered shift point but, did not want to change before eliminations. 830 works well, tried some things to offset port volume such as no spacers.

Time to build a "377"...that would solve the Port Runner size problem
