I think Orr89RocZ runs 13.89 on a stock TPI. I could be wrong on who it is, if I am I apologize, but I think it could be possible. He may have a stall, gears, tuning, nitrous, alot of weight off of the car. He would be a good one to email and find out what he has done.

I’ve run 13.59@100 in my Formula 350 with nothing really done to it (that would make it faster at the dragstrip) besides a cat back and cold air intake…

I can list the assorted BS "tweaks" and free mods that I did and the tinkering at the track that it took to do it, as well as the stuff that shouldn't have helped like pro kit springs and koni yellows..., but I assure you that it did go that fast... I think I have a time slip for it somewhere also.

one of my friends got a 350TPI auto car.. really nice condition.. after replacing the fuel injectors, setting the timing, and putting headers on it, hes running 8.8s in the 1/8th with street tires..
an 8.8 is roughly a 13.77 in the 1/4.
edit:
i should add, my friend is a very detail oriented obsessive guy who went over the entire motor and tested it tweak by tweak to get it running as best as possible. for example, he felt the injector spray pattern sucked, so he put new ones in... its paying attention to details, that make the car work to its best potential.

An internally stock 350 TPI can run quicker than most people think. Mine runs 1.79 in the 60 foot, 8.5's in the 1/8 and 13.5s in the 1/4 mile at a race weight of 3640 lbs including driver. I'm still learning how to drive with the new converter so I hope to do better. That's with stock heads, stock cam, stock TPI, headers, catback, ported MAF, 3.54 gears (3.23 or 3.27 would be better), Vigilante converter, Spohn suspension, and Nitto DRs. I was too lazy to lower the pressure in the Nitto's or adjust pinion angle, two things I'll try next time out. I'm the original owner so I know what's in it. Unfortunatlely I think most of these cars will be trashed and junked before people realize the potential they have.
83 Crossfire TA, I'd love to see your list. You're running better than me with fewer mods. I'm always looking for ways to go faster on the cheap.

There were also a few things that some of you might call questionable, for example, when I bought the car the previous owner sprayed it and messed up the transmission, so I dropped a transgo shift kit in it just to get a reasonable 2-3 shift out of it and last ditch effort to get a few miles out of it. Under normal conditions that would make the car faster, but in this case, the car still shifted MUCH slower then my ’83 TA did with a stock tranny, but AT LEAST it shifted.

Here, this is how I got most of the way there with a complete list of what was touched and what I did to it
Actually, looking at it, I know that someplace I put the stock chip back in and tinkered with the timing and ended up leaving it at 4* advance...

Ive talked to him plenty of times and his car is truely stock heads/cam/intake. He says the valve covers have never been off the car. Reason for that car being so fast is everything is perfectly matched, perfect weather, and the thing hooks. I beleive his tranny is built. Other than that he has all the "free mods" to get it to run those times.
Very impressive
