Pretty insteresting what wieght loss can do I must say.
I have my car totally gutted because im getting ready to put in new carpet.
Absoulutely nothing in it. Dash out, back seats, front seats (driver seat has a lightweight bucket seat in there just for kicks, no trim panels, stereo gone, front sway bar off, get my drift?
Well, lets just say that my et times are very nice.
My previous best, full interior was a 14.11@96 mph 60'-2.08
With the 400 lbs or so weight loss, I ran a 13.77@100 mph 60'2.19
I lost time in the 60' because there is no weight on the back tires, but its midrange is absolutely wicked now. Gutting is cheating though :-p

My rear weight is probably a lot less that yours but then my suspension and chassis are also a lot different allowing me to transfer weight on launch.
I don't have that huge chunk of glass and steel sitting over the rear tires. My back window is a piece of Lexan and the deck lid is a sheet of aluminum held on with Dzus fasteners.
My weight ratio is very nose heavy with a 60/40 split. 50/50 is the best. Typical cars are around 55/45.

i think a stock internal L98 with full bolt ons with a stickshift and good gears with proper suspension/tires in the right conditions and gutted out interior will do higher 12's.
u gained 4 mph with all that stuff out. how much do the back seats really weigh?

Backseats usually weigh about 30 pounds I think.
