New best, in the solid 11's
Finally made it to the track since I put in the gears and re-did my exhaust. Previous best was a 12.17@111.55 1.65 60'. Today's first pass was an 11.84@114.65 1.578 60'. Best pass of the day ended up being:
.505
1.591
4.796
7.458
90.62
9.740
11.686
118.81
First round of eliminations would have been faster but I was on the brakes at the 1000' mark so I didn't break out. It went a 9.719 to the 1000' that pass which would have been at least an 11.65.

Nice setup what is your Custom ISKY cam specs and is it hyd roller or solid tappet? Why is your car only making 430hp at the flywheel? I would think that combo would be atleast good for 450hp with afr heads an 383 displacment. Was that with slicks or et streets?

Cam specs are proprietary but I'll say that it's less than 226*@.050" and lift is .520 on the intake and exhaust. It's a hydraulic roller. HP is down because of the small cam but it's nice and streetable. It's also got short rods in it so I've sacrificed some peak HP for more torque. Any faster and it'll need a cage so I'm right where I want to be. I run 28" MT ET Street Radials.
Nice jump in times! Flow is the ticket! My car improved too, just from an exhaust change. I have same gears though.
So, you don't want to install a rollbar huh? I said the same thing last year..LOL. This winter, I'm getting a custom bent chromoly bar installed. I changed my mind in the direction I want to go now.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
I don't mind the bar, but the other problem with sub 11.50's is that I wont be able to run in the Street class either. I'd have to step up to Class 2 which is full of verteran racers that are on their game. I don't have enough seat time yet and not consistent enough on the tree to be competitive. Plus it's $60 to enter each week. When I start going past 4th round on a regular basis I'll think about it.
Thanks for the kind words everyone.

You brought up a good point on the price too. Never thought of looking before. I'll have to check their website to see if its on there. If not, I'll find out the next time I go. $32.00 gets my wife, my car, and me in, for street automatic.

Yea, I hear ya. The only thing keeping me out of the outlaw class, is the fact I am running a DOT slick. As soon as I go an 11.49, or run a true slick, I no longer can run in the Friday night street class either. At our track, alot of the outlaw guys I have talked to, are consistantly cutting .060 lights, or better.

Very nice. I want to be around where your previous times were with my new set up. I have a hydraulic flat tappet w/ 246/246 w/ .510/.510 lift. I am running the dart iron eagle heads w/ 64 cc combustion chambers and 200 cc intake runners. I hope my car does well. Still not running though. Congrats on the times. Nice work.
