What a night at the track
Got 8 runs in and I had my first perfect light! It showed up on the board as I drove past, .000
Got my slip and the Corvette I was running against got a .007 light. That was a nitrous pass and I spun all through 1st but then the bottle started to go empty
knew I should have filled it 11.65 @ 113.
The new converter has barely helped as far as looking at 60 foots but it sure feels a lot better off the line. As the night cooled off the car started running better and better, getting back to it's best pass. My mph went from 107 to 110 by the time the track was closing down. Best motor pass was a 12.40 @ 109.79 60' 1.81. Going to a different track for the first time next weekend so it'll be interesting how it does. Another night of nothing breaking and seeing some improvements, it was a good night

Perhaps the converter contributed to the perfect light - that's worth more than ET or MPH in a race.
What track was that? Was it a regular race, or a T&T? What's the track you'll be going to?

Redding Drag Strip up in Redding CA, basicly you could call it T&T. Street legal drag night where there's minumum track prep, they sprayed down VHT 3 times through the night. I doubt the new converter helped that light out, just luck that I finally got a good light lol. One night I was getting .03x lights and last night it was all over the place from .150 to .011. Next week will be Sacramento Raceway for grudge night where there's much better track prep, so I've heard.

I was out there spectating a couple of weeks ago. I didn't think by the way some of the 11- and 12-sec cars hooked that the track prep was all that great, but I'm probably spoiled. There were a lot of people out there spectating, though.

Took a friend for a ride and you can't go quicker than 14.00. As far as track prep at Sac, I've never run there so I'm just going by what everyone else has been saying. Have seen some 6 second cars go down the track though.

Ah, that explains it. I figured you had a passenger, but didn't put the 14.00 restriction together with that.
Like I said, I'm probably spoiled, so the SRP prep may actually be pretty good. Of course, just like here, I'm sure traction improves when the big show is in town.
I've always been impressed with what you've done with your car and what you get out of it. Let us know how it does in Sacramento (Elev: 76 feet. . .)

The track better be prepped well this Sat!
You never know though.
Usually on "fun run" nights it can be crappy, but when you're paying more for a TNT/Grudge that's what a big chunk of your $ are going towards, VHT/prep.
At least the sea level aspect and cooler night weather will be on our side!
I'm hoping for a new best by at least a tenth or 2, who knows.
Looking fwd to racing and seein' your ride Evil.

I'm just still chasing down that 12.22, nearly got my mph back so we'll see what happens there. Redding's track is at 490 feet and probably 10 degrees hotter than Sacramento during the day. The track better be prepped well this Sat!

Friend of mine ran 2 tenths quicker at Sac compared to Redding so I'm hoping that holds true for my car too. Just look for the half primered half white pos. Trying to get the driver's side in primer this week though so it may be all in primer by the time I get there. Thread
