dont know what i run

whats going on guys? My mods are listed below, I have open diff ( i know profile says different) and 308 gears. I also just got the custom chip in. seems to pull better at upper rpms but hesitates for a fraction of a second when just cruising off of a street red light. Before the chip I beat a 4.6 stang. He was stick and he could drive pretty decent. I pulled on the stang but didnt exactly kill him. from 10 mph to about 70 mph I had 1/2 -3/4 car on him. I am just curious about my time because there is this srt-4 that i want in my rear view mirror.

12.6? I hope you meant 13.6. With the stealth ram and open diff, plus highway gears I would say you're not getting near the cars potential. What year was the Mustang?

stang

not exactly sure i am guessing at least 2000 it was a newer 4.6 the ones before they went retro. He still had 30 day tags on it though if that helps out.

without gears and converter, you'll be good to break into the 13's...

Cam, Gears, Converter, and a tune you'll be in the 12's. The Mustangs after 98 are pretty fast, they make 260hp and with a 5 speed they're no push overs, you should have one covered with your setup as long as he's not substantially modded; even then you'll stand a good chance.

get the current power to the ground more effeciently before you start throwing more power at it. the lt4 cam is super lame too. get something a bit nicer than that...like the cc306 cam or something.

Agreed on working from the ground up, and agreed on the cc305 cam. The LT4 hot cam isn't a bad cam if you're on a budget but for a few dollars more you can get a more aggressive cam. If I had a Stealth Ram I wouldn't have bought the Lingenfelter cam I did.

you'll need to upgrade the springs, and with that much cam, going to a full roller rocker wouldn't be a bad idea. p/n is: 07-306-8
