Win at the Season Final...
Was still working on my car on Friday night to get it ready for this weekend's double header points race...blew the ring and pinion to pieces last month. Pics below:

Ring gear may need some TLC

We put in a temporary solution to get me through the weekend, a junk 3.08 geared 10-bolt. The car ran a best of 11.92@113.5 with a 1.709 short time with this setup.
I went 6 rounds over two classes on Saturday, lost in the 3rd round to the season champ in Sportsman on Sunday (.013 breakout vs. 020 - i should have tapped earlier as he tree'd me) and won the Street class yesterday.
Looks like I finished 4th for the season in Sportsman and 2nd in Street.

Nice damage
Running in 2 different classes with the same car is tough. I've known a few people who do it. It's not as easy as it sounds.

I am going to get a flex-a-lite fan setup and an electric water pump drive for next year. With the 3" Griffin and Victor water pump I should run cooler and I would like to be able to keep it lower on the 2nd of back to back passes.

I tried two cars in two classes earlier this year. That's really weird. About the only "good" part is I was parked next to the staging lanes, and could switch cars in view of the next round. Managed quarterfinals in one (5 rounds - bulbed when I launched it like I was in the other), and runner-up in the other (8 rounds - gave it to the fellow club member who was in the points chase).
Very nice to end the season on a winning note. I've done it once. . .
Congrats on the good finish!

Also, I know this came up at the start of the year - I ran the entire season on a set of 235/60/15 MT ET Street radials. At the start of the year I didn't think that they were as consistant as the ET Streets I had used before but I don't think they really cost me an rounds.
