Possible E.T. question.....
Ok guys help out here please......I ran a pretty easy 15.359 @ 88 M.P.H.the other night with a 3.23 gear, making no other changes except going to a 3.42 gear do you think I could hit 14.99, or better??? The car hooked pretty good with a 2 second 60 foot time...I deas, and suggestions for the 14's would be most welcome....Has to be cheap easy stuff, key word cheap right now...Mods in sig..Except for the subframe connectors..(Still not on). Thanks in advance...Tom

i wouldn't bother just swapping to 3.42s from 3.23s won't be worth the expense at all. Slicks or drag radials along with headers, cam, etc will actually make a difference.

Well at this point i dont need slicks the car hooks very good...Of course with a little more gear it might blow my tires awys, so then i might need slicks...I can get a 3.73, but then I dont think I have enough motor for it...I have a set of headers, but dont really have the time or the cash to get them on right now....So there would not be much difference in the gears? Ok well thanks...Tom

you have $400-600 to pay someone to swap gears along with $150-200 for the gears themselves, but don't have the cash to have the headers installed or take an afternoon to install them yourself? Maybe hop on the local regional board and ask for a member to help you out if needed and buy them pizza/beer etc.

Uh well i was just going to put the rear end in myself.I was not going to swap the gears.....I am going to put the headers on soon, the truth is it is a major pain, the rear swap is easy...OK.......Thanks, yes BEER...Tom
