first run spinning my street tires ended up with a 13.9.@105.7 mph. got it down to 13.0 @108.1 mph. after that i threw the nittos on and ran a 12.505@110.07mph with a 1.84 60'. I know the car still has a bunch left in it, i plan on dialing it in better next weekend. Im working out some tranny issues at the moment. It didnt like to shift at WOT manually shifting it.

110 mph is good for 12.0-12.2 so you're missing .3 somewhere. Other than that the car looks good.

im sure i can still pull more out of my 60'. I was goin with bald nittos. Couldnt get them to hook everytime. so sometimes i was spinning with the 1.8 60' and i couldnt load my converter at the line without having a backfire after the launch. so im sure after i hook my labtop back up to it and do some launch tests down my street i can get that dialed in. then its back to the track.

i'm around your time.. 1.810 60ft. and a 12.416 @ 110.xx.. as said before, you are still capable of hitting really low 12's.. maybe even a high 11.. its ALL in the 60 ft.. to put that into context, if i were to hit a 1.600 60ft., i would drop about .5-.7 seconds off the entire time.. you start accelerating hard earlier, you finish faster.. vs. spinning for 15ft, wasting all that time going not so far with alot of time and then hooking up and taking off.. get the 60ft DOWN! and you will be surprised.. and get the tranny issue fixed

i didnt know this but someone said sometimes stock 700r4s can have trouble shifting at WOT and that a corvette servo would help this. truth?

The servo's just dtermine how much pressure is put on the bands/clutches so upgrading the servo just ensures that once it's in X gear it doe'snt slip...kind of like installing an agressive clutch with really abrasive material to bite the flywheel.

Anyways, they make a 3-4 WOT valve that fits in the valve body so you can shift into high gear instead of having to "clutch it" and then have it go back into 3rd anyways. I had one installed in mine, but I never made it to 4th gear by the stripe, so I did'nt need it anyways....hence going to the 3 speed for cheaper build, twice the strength, and ease of working on/lighter unit weight overall....if you went this route you just have to step up your convertor to compensate for the loss in first gear reduction, but you'd order a convertor based off your engine peak tq range regardless to optimize it.

Like Evilcartman said: get stickies. You can punish them things with waaaay off the mark suspension set-up's and they'll hook just as good as a properly set-up suspension...plus they're lighter which will help too to this day, other than guys wanting a "fast time slip" why anybody bothers running them (radial slicks) unless they're seriously down on power...once you get into mid to low 12's...get bias ply and be done. guys can argue with me all they want on this issue, but radial slicks are worthless for consisant timeslips unless the car is tuned to soak up some of the hit...just too much to ask for a stiff sidewall, stiff compund tire...and I've seen this first hand, many times, hence standing by my opinion forever of "why bother"

yea im running on a stock 700r4 right now*sigh* yea i went ahead and bought back my ET streets i sold a few months back cuz i was low on cash, ill be down at the track again this weekend to get a few more runs in. Im tuning the car myself so im still learning how to use all my software. but ive been doin a lot of reading in the past week and im understanding it a lot more. picked up some LCA relo brackets for the car as well. I'm having some LCAs made for me by a local guy and ill be workin on suspension more in the future. but I'm getting my T56 rebuilt next week and m gona start on that swap. Im not looking for the consistant auto tranny, im looking to have fun with a 6 speed. I love driving manual cars over auto cars... too boring imo. Soon i hope to have the motor dialed in and have the rest of the car ready to hold up to some spray. Cant wait for this weekend.

yea i met skinnies at the shootout for the first time. im usually on and off on mofbody. i dont have money for a 12bolt yet, but im looking to go the route of a 9" built by a local shop for much much less than a 12 bolt costs. even though it robs a bit more power... ill just spray that much more, lol
