Re: video
It starts better than mine does when it's cold. His shift light came on at only 4000 rpm. Not exactly a high reving blower engine. Probably babies it around the streets and likes to see the light come on.
RE the first video: (no offense if the owners are reading this) I watched their first video trying to start the engine. All I could think was it looked like a couple of red necks but without beer in their hands. Fishing poles were hanging on the garage wall etc. They never even had the timing close when firing up an engine for the first time. Most of the first video is them cranking the engine over trying to find the right timing to get the engine fired. If the camshaft was new, might as well pull it out and throw it away. Cam break in time came and went while they were trying to find the timing.

Re: video
Shouldn't it go off again at a higher rpm then? My tach has that feature. The shift light in the tach blinks just under the launch rpm, steady at the launch rpm but goes out if the rpms are too high.
I don't use the feature myself. I launch off a 2 step. The feature is only good for foot braking to allow you to launch at the same rpm every time. Providing you have enough time to do it.

Re: video
there's a ton of setups with the dig. 7. when i hit the brake, it resets the ignition (so it knows its in 1st gear)
it also sets the rev limiter for staging the car, and it turns on the shift light once that rpm is achieved. you can setup what rpm it goes back off.
when i activate the line lock, it sets my burnout rev limiter.
when i turn on the nitrous system, it cuts the timing.
overall, its pretty cool, but can get confusing as hell. lol
