Planned on purchasing some safety equiptment lately however summit/jegs website doesn't help any with the decision since there are a billion different mounting options. As for the R.J.S. website...no comment.
So basically I wanted the shoulder straps wrap around and the waist bolt in (stock location?) with the sub belt not really careing much since either way ill have to come up with something. Got it narrowed down to either of these two
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
which would be option #1, and
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
which would be option #2. I've tried searchin guys but couldn't come up with anything in perticular fellas. So if anybody is infact running one of the two or just knows for certain please don't hold your breath. Thanks in advance

call scummit and ask them for the part number. Or walk into a local speed shop and check out their stock and pick one that way. It seems that summit doesn't have specific part numbers you just call them and ask for the mounting option you want since there's 3 options for mounting styles.
I use RCI belts. The mounting hardware allows me to attach the waist belts to the factory mount points in the car. The crotch belt attaches through the floor near the rear of the seat and goes through a piece of angle iron I have welded to the SFC. The 2 shoulder straps wrap around the cage cross bar. I don't think the Y-type shoulder belts are still legal.
No manufacturer will give instruction on how to mount the belts. There are too many types of cars and configurations. The best you can do is install them following the rulebook suggestions.
I don't like the cam lock style myself. They're pretty but since I need to replace my belts every 2 years, it's an added expense I don't need. The latch type works just fine at half the price. I think I'm on my fourth set of belts now.
All belts should come with hardware that looks like this to allow you to mount them.

i don't want instructions, just a part #
. The RCI one you have sounds like exactly what I want done and I'm not brand specific so if you could link me (like ya did with the window net
) id appreciate that. Thanks a ton bud

looks like RCI only has 1 type (for the individual straps)...simplifies stuff lol

Ok so a buddy of mine just informed me the wrap around styles are no longer NHRA legal, shocked, so i checked our good friends at NHRA.com for rule revisions...guess what, he's right.

Driver Restraint System: Delete first sentence. Replace with “Effective 5/18/07, Minimum 7-point, three-inch wide driver restraint system meeting SFI Spec 16.1 mandatory. Wrapping of belt(s) around frame rail or chassis tube prohibited. All shoulder, lap and leg straps must be mounted to the chassis via mounting brackets that are bolted or welded to the chassis per the manufacturer's instructions. If bracket is bolted through frame rail or chassis tube, hole in frame rail or chassis tube must be bushed, with bushing completely welded to tube. Whether mounted directly to frame, or to a tab welded to the frame, mounting bracket attachment bolt must be in double shear and of shoulder bolt design, so as to permit the bracket to pivot and align toward the direction of pull.”
Guess that simplifies everything

That revision does not deal with bracket cars. It's about funny cars only. If you look through the revisions, that part is in the Funny car section.
Depending on what color you want, this is all you need.
