those trickflow heads do low 12s with a carb application, not sure how big that cam is, and the stall seems kinda small, but go give it a try and post back.

So this summer I am thinking of getting a bigger cam. This is just the biggest cam that is street legal. But it isn't like they are going to rip my engine apart.

lol most cams arent "Street lega" but who gives a damn, no one would ever know.
im running comp cams xe274 hydraulic roller cam, puts peak power right at 6000 on the nose, its a 224/230, with .510 lift with 1.5's
stall and cam are a must for your car, i would also think that as long as you have good springs on those TF heads you could really benefit from 1.6 rockers.
that head and intake combo are easily good for low 12's with a good 60 foot

Re: Anyone Think It Will Do 12's?
i really confused as to what you people are talking about. I mean come on "STREET LEGAL". this sounds like some F&F stuff. I know several 7&8 sec cars running in my neck of the woods and they are street legal. aka lights, seatbelts, exhaust, blinkers, mirrors, and licence plates. I have a solid roller in my car that has a duration @.50 of 252 and 618 of lift and my car is street legal. the bigger the cam the less streetable but i have never heard of an illegal street cam unless you cant fugure a way out of emissions as a result of.

I live in Cali, So I have to smog it and everything. I mean it is a STREET LEGAL CAM. It is a 112. Which is why I am most likely going to get a bigger cam.

112 is just lobe separation angle, im running a 112 cam in my 355.
duration effects where it makes power in the powerband.
and lift effects how much air flow is coming in.
you want to make sure the cam's duration will make power where you want it, and you want your peak lift with whatever rocker youre using to match about what the heads peak flow is.
as far as living in cali, my only advice is to move to kentucky

Re: Anyone Think It Will Do 12's?
What time would I run with a ZZ9, and how much does it cost?
Re: Anyone Think It Will Do 12's?
Years back when I had my 355, with TF heads, etc, I ran 13.00 flat, but my MPH was decent, at around 107. Had mid 12's potential, but I sold the engine while it was still new.
IIRC, the ZZ-9 goes for like $300.00. You will need new springs as well.

Re: Anyone Think It Will Do 12's?
My springs are not stock, they are stronger ones for the heads and roller rockers. The springs that came with the heads weren't strong enough and broke, so My dad and I got stronger springs. The stall is matched to the performance of the car and selected by professionals. I drive the car daily.
