Test n tune video from August..

i think this run was about a 12.0-12.1.. had about a 2.0 60ft.. brand new 28.5x11.50-15 hoosier qtp's.. got them two days before.. this is the second day of racing with them.. ran my best 11.65 the night before on a full tank of gas.. this run was with 1/2 tank.. only difference..

12 flat run.. no traction

EDIT: works better on Windows media

Re: Test n tune video from August..

i wasnt really tryin to do a burnout.. i think i tried i bigger burnout the run before and it netted me the same result.. it also was like 85*, burning sunshine.. the starting line was like ice.. on another video and you can see that i get NO traction on the line.. but on the 1-2 shift, i almost pull the driver tire off the ground.. i'll get that video up soon..

Re: Test n tune video from August..

thanks. i have been in the 1.6xx's twice.. a 1.69 and a 1.65.. they were still spinning on those too.. i added 120lbs to the trunk a week after the races and was gonna try it out but i decided to pull the motor.. i'm hoping for 1.5's.. a friend of mine runs an 02 z-28 and going 1.5's on his way to 11.5's.. i'm hoping to beat him..

check my garage thing for specs on my motor.. it has everything thats in my car.. oh, forgot to add.. these runs are with an extreme case of blow-by from the #3 cylinder.. hence all the smoke coming from the car about half track and beyond.. motor is being freshened as we speak.. its getting more compression and better quench (11.1:1 and .044" quench vs. 10.65:1 and .064" quench) and will get the heads ported by me when i return from college.. gonna take it to the chassis dyno after its all said and done.. hoping for over 400rwhp.. i estimate it to be about 375 right now..

I think with a glass hood and skinnys on the front you could have really snatched that tire off the ground

i know that's right! 1-2 shift snatching the fronts of the ground, very very cool!

i should be getting skinnys by next year.. as for the hood.. not sure if i'll ever get one.. my axles are starting to twist and i think my 3rd member case is cracked and my diff might be damaged.. so i'll be in debt to moser for a complete 35 spline setup..
