i am going to race (unfortunatly) but my car is runnin like complete **** since i have registered. cant get nitrous issues worked out. probly gonna end up running motor. so hope they pick a 12.5 group.

 

Racing !!! 10.20 range. 11sec do you need any parts to make the nitrous work I will loan you any thing I have.

 

Just got in from this outing I did run a new best of a 10.17 @ 133mph but I nor any of my friends were picked thay ran an 11.40 class had a few nice cars and some bracket race cars in it.

 

congrats on the new best!! guess i will see if i can straighten my junk out before pinks in atlanta.....2 or 3 weeks ago i ran a few 10.50's without the bottle, i was running 10.90's today with it misfireing out of the hole and sluggish on top...

 

Car Fixer are you planning on going to the NMCA event at Alanta speed way on Sept ? I am going to try and make the event and run true street I had a great time at the Bradeton event and want to make it to another event. This is the closes to me and with diesel at 4.30 a gal and up and a truck and trailer combo getting from 11-12 mpg. This looks doable.

 

Wow, that's a slower class than I remember from the series.

Makes one wonder what they'll do here - high altitude and all, cars are slower than they would be at sea level, but we've still got a bunch of guys who run "street-legal" class cars in the 9.7's. I can see them saying, "Since cars run slower at this altitude, we're going with a 12.2 sec class." Or, "To show you the kind of cars people build here, we're going with a 9.7 class - these cars would run 9.0 at sea level."

Bottom line is they're looking for an entertaining TV show, not necessarily a good racing show. They love doing things like pairing up a husband and wife, so after he eliminates her they get a clip of her saying, "That's the last time he's getting lucky tonight."

 

The 16 cars thay picked were the tightest group of cars only .08 diff. in ET.

 

o yea by the way i did get my car to work on a 100 shot which put me at 11.40 they picked me to be in the class and then speed tv told me i couldnt race due to my age. if you were there im sure you heard about it. its all over the net

 

Congrats sort of. I seen you had posted some pics over at YB I didnt Know it was you. Car looked great. Man that place was crazy. Wish we could have hooked up. I drove all over that place I looked at almost every third gen there and I never did see yours up close. I had the green golf cart with air bags under it. I was car #122.

 

yea i was number 94 so we werent that far away. me and my buddies were the ones riding the black scooter around. i was directly across from the green vette with the rediculously sized turbo.

 

I looked over the vette was disapointed with its times. He may have been having tuning issues. He was one of the 16 car picked.

 

really? that car was very disappointing if he only ran 11.4. mine was running horribly for the past month and my first test and tune run. i did end up getting another run on friday and i ran with a 100hp shot 11.46 and thats were i left it because it worked.

 

Fridays run for me netted a 10.17 Sat run was a 10.22 I short shifted 1-2 shift. Third run no time. I still had a good time and a Tshirt so all is good.

 

mine ran good for what i had so all in all i was happy, im goin to spin world on wednesday got a new distributor and new coil will be here wednesday so hopefully it will take the big kit again. going for 10.5's
