Electric Water Pump Installed (PICS)

I broke down and put an electric water pump on the car last week.I also pulled it apart to check the lifters and valve springs and adjust the valves. Also found it was pulling oil thru the intake gaskets. Fixed all this loaded the car up and drove 150 miles to get rained out. Damn the bad luck!!! Here's a pic of the pump install.

Re: Electric Water Pump Installed (PICS)

i am not...i can't afford to do the big dog races right now since i'm in school. i have been doing all small local stuff. the guys at SGMP are trying to organize a GA vs FL F-Body race in december, and i think that would be a killer race to go to. i'm lacking valve springs and roll-bar/harness/jacket in order to be able to go race...i think i've got a solution to all those problems, but i still gotta get it all together.

Re: Electric Water Pump Installed (PICS)

nice.. i had a e-water pump.. it had a hackjob bracket on it for the alternator then i made a bracket like yours.. not 4 days later, the seal for the electronics broke and toasted the pump.. now i'm back to the normal mech pump..

Re: Electric Water Pump Installed (PICS)

Ross, I dont think I fit in any classes in nmca that I can be competitive, and I really dont feel a need to run at commerce. Last time I was there (which I was told by alot of people it like that all the time lol) it was dangerous. I may come watch though, depending on weather i can get away those days.
Sept. 28th is the GAFBA race at silver dollar if you are interested, usually a pretty good bunch of f-bodys.

I was thinking the same thing. As simple as mine is, it sure is complicated with all the extra plumbing and wiring I have for go fast stuff.

Because I use a front motor plate, I have no room to properly mount an alternator when I installed a mandrel for the belt driven fuel pump. I fabricated an adjuster bracket to the frame and mounted the alternator backwards. Works fine. Engine doesn't move so the alternator can be attached anywhere that's solid.

Re: Electric Water Pump Installed (PICS)

Car Fixer I have herd that the track works great. I have only been ther twice I remember the area only had two hotels near the track and the holiday inn was the only one I would use again. As for the classes I dont fit into any of them but the true street deal has very min rules just have to be able to do the 30 cruise and make three back to back runs. The pay out is a joke but I do it for fun and to get out of the house for a weekend.
