Orr89Iroc has one in the low 11's n/a. 86 T/A has been 10.0's on a 175shot i believe...both EFI cars. i gotta buddy in canada with an n/a EFI motor in a very pretty 82 z28 that's been upper 8.8x's...

 

11.62 @ 117 355 sbc TPI on 125 shot. I hope to run mid-low 10's with a 406 TPiS, Miniram, and a 200 shot.

 

I've got a 9.94@ 137, and there's another couple tenths left in traction and weight.

 

10.14@131 so far, and im looking for mid 9's here in another month or 2.

 

I just got my MiniRam & 406 is being built as we speak. Good to see FI still running strong. I was just seeing alot of 3gens converted to carb. Just wanted to make sure I was going in the right direction.

 

406 mini rammed, 10.87 best N/A, 10.0 best 150 shot..
Pump gas for both best. Engine now resides in my 94 with same efi set-up.

 

I run fuel injection but it's not EFI. I run a mechanical alcohol injection system. Ron's flying toilet(s).

11.50's at 119 here for now... it will do 11.3's once i can hook at full launch and get some more gear. cool air it should touch 120-121 mph and 11.2's i hope. It SHOULD be doing 11.4's right now but i cant get it to 60 foot any better than 1.59 it seems. When i did go 1.55 i had other top end problems which killed the run.

just a streetable natural aspirated 383 on 93 oct pump gas


FULL bolt on L98 last year n/a went 12.95 at 103.8

i have fiberglass hood front bumper, front fenders, doors, side skirts, rear bumper, decklid, lexan side windows, lexan rear decklid. a all aluminum brodix small block and ik210 brodix heads, aftermarket ported and polished edelbrock intake and runner. aftermarket fuel injection. full 2000 corvette rear end, air locker, and 10 point roll cage. stripped interior with custom fibergalss dash, racing seats, fuel cell, full custom true dual three inch exhaust. mickey thompson et drag radials in the back, mini tubs. custom dual air intake. i haven't lost to any car on the street yet. and i still run 93 octane pump gas. and it is my daily driver. tubular k member from spohn. tubular upper and lower control arms. tublar spindles from wilwood with all wilwood brakes on all four corners. haven't ran it at the track but it eats 25psi fully built stripped hondas. and alot of old muscle cars.

 

Get a timeslip before making an ET claim.

 

why don't you drive here and i'll show you on the street. anyone can make there car hook at the track and go in a straight line but try to hook it on the street and take a corner. and then you can tell me about how fast you are.

 

I bet that is one cold ride up in Minnesota with those plex glass windows and all. How are those drag radials treating you on your commute to work in the winter? Post some pics of your ride we all like to look at fast cars.

trbo355 went 9.4's on a 350, truck heads, LTR tuned port, xe268h cam, th400, 3.00 9" and I must be forgetting something, oh yeah. Two TE-64 turbos running 25psi and a 100shot.

He's running Holley Commander 950 EFI.

 

Ya right. Everyone thinks they have a 11 second or faster street car until they get that first timeslip.

not only that, anybody who says "straight line" obviously hasn't been in a fast car on a small tire...especially on the street. As for taking a corner

 

my car ain't near as fast as yours, but it still likes to drift to the right with the wheels danglin...i can't wait to get the bar in hopefully it'll straighten this bad boy out


what i wanna know is how a 20 y/o that works at NAPA can afford a brodix aluminum block. then after saving up the money to actually by one, he decides its a good idea to daily drive on one IN THE NORTH! does this just not make sense to anyone else? i'm calling BS on this one. i say post up pics of this all fiberglass (not sure why you would go to all the trouble, have you ever actually lifted a fender from one of these cars? not exactly heavy sheetmetal there) IRS suspended, aluminum 440cubic inch tpi monster (like a ported edlebroke junk tpi intake will actually feed that many cubes )

 

because after work i go home and work on cars at our shop. and i am store manager and make $20 an hour. i'm a third generation engine builder, you can do alot when you have your own chassis and enfine dyno

Currently N/A went 12.8@104, highest mph 107 355 TPI full interior no weight-saving mods. And that was manually shifting my 700r4, my shift points aren't anywhere near optimal at the moment.

My goal with my build is to go as fast as I can on a 355 TPI using only mildy ported aftermarket parts N/A...nothing radical like some of the guys on the TPI board are doing, simply because I don't have the knowledge or access to the machinery to get 300+cfm out of an intake base. I know I've got more in my current setup now, and it's nowhere near optimal with my crappy headers, stock ported base and 48mm TB...plus I'm not running a whole lot of compression.

When I started this project I was told I'd be lucky to break 13.0s. I'm well into the 12s and with a few better parts hope to be in the low 12s...and from what I've seen locally and on this board, that's 383/AFR195 territory. Not too bad from a little 355 and 180cc heads.

I was just reading over this post and was wondering how many of you have upper control arms on your car? Maybe it's just to add some weight? I also call BS until I see a time slip and some pics of the car. My junk runs a best of 12.7 @ 107 Need stall and better rear suspension I think my mods are in my sig.

I would really like to see pics also. I have pretty extensive mods on mine but honestly don't know what it can actually do. I make alot more than you do at NAPA and can't afford all the mods listed. And as far a never been beat on the street. In the town of 36 people, you must not have too many fast cars in that area. We have several cars in this area well over 1000hp and closer to 2000HP and with twin turbo's that has never been beat and looking to race. Bring your title. The only way I can keep up would be if I had a chain from my front bumper to their rear bumper.

just got back from my builder & I got to see all the parts before it gets put together. Balanced Scat crank, balanced H beam 4340, even balanced pop up pistons, (within 1 gram). Cam to be announced.
w/ new brodix heads should come out to about 13.5-14 to 1 C/R.

Later today I called & checked on an Acell DFI, w/ custom harness, w/ wideband o2 & thats when I found out that my computer might cost about the same as my engine, ($3000)?????

Any other ideas or thoughts on computers ( i know, diff topic/board)

Depends on the options. I am running XFI and I think that cost a bit less than that. I also had to buy a $500 distributor from MSD to run full sequential.

Anybody ever notice how fast, 9 and 10 second street cars seem to always run 13s and 14s when they finally go to the track?
