Whoa, that's a heap of power you're talking about there.

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org. This is more of a drag race topic than engine swap, so let's see what response you get there.

Re: Hello

I don't run NOS however I've considered adding two 150 plates at times for a simple, up to, 300 shot.

My tunnel ram used to have two 850 alcohol carbs on it but I've switched to a Ron's Flying Toilet system. I now have two 4.1" (3600 total CFM) toilets sitting on an Edelbrock 2R tunnel ram feeding a 540. After running injected alcohol, I'll never go back to gas or carbs on a race engine.

I don't really care about specific classes like "drag radial". I currently have 32 x 14 slicks and want to put on 32 x 16's. The big tires hook up so much better on poorly prepped tracks. My sig picture was taken on a Friday night street legal race. I was just getting some track time for tuning. On Friday nights, there usually isn't much track prep and the street tire cars are always spinning off the line. I carried the front wheels about 40 feet on that pass.

Re: Hello

holy cow.... for that motor i would think youll need a 25.5 cage! what kinda trans do you have? i can see spending a solid $25k AT LEAST on the chassis before getting the car down the track. should be good for mid-upper 7's in the 1/4 with that kinda power....

Re: Hello

Hey guy`s thanks for the replys and welcomes I have a 68 back halved car that i was running in 10.5 outlaw a little on a local level and a few little big tire races but now there seems to be no classes around and i can`t afford to try to run 4.50 or better so I`m going to swap a few parts and try my hand at a little drag radial so any info is very much wanted. Thanks again Bill
