Blowshield

Does anyone know if a TCI or B&M blowshield will fit under the floors of theses cars? I have a nice TCI one on my TH400 and I want to try and figure it out before I put it in the car. Anyone used one? Did it fit?

Re: Blowshield

Transmission shield? I had a TCI on a TH400 in my car years ago.

I now use a powerglide. I had a CSR flexplate shield and TCI tranny shield but when they expired, I upgraded to a one piece CSR shield to do both jobs. It costs a little more than the typical steel plate shield but it's almost a form fit over the tranny for much better clearance issues. My clearance issues are just accessing the bellhousing bolts because the engine is pushed back slightly. I can't access the bolts from the top and I don't have a removable tranny tunnel yet. The CSR shield gives me the access that I need.

You can also use an inexpensive blanket shield if you want but they retain a lot of heat in the tranny.

Yeah I've got a J.W. ultrabell and a trans shield. I was just wondering if they even fit. I dont even need it for the times I'll run but whats a little added security since it comes with the trans.
