New video

Girlfriend was learning how to use the video camera. She got 2 burnout shots and only one of me actually going down the track. This wasn't my best or fastest time of the evening and the only record I broke was a corrected MPH. This was the first round of eliminations and I won the round when my opponent broke out. I knew I couldn't catch him and was surprised to see the win light come on. I lost in the second round to a .028 package and by about 15 feet. Even if I cut a perfect light, I couldn't have won since I was off on my dial.

The night was nice for racing but the air was bad. Barometric pressure was low and everyone was down on power. I did manage to get 4 runs and got datalog info on each run. From the looks of it, I'm running just slightly on the lean side and could use a little more fuel pressure. I'll tweak the fuel curve before the next race.

Thanks for posting!
Looks like you carry the front a lil higher
& a lil longer than last season, or just the angle?

Re: New video

I was calming it down. On Father's day, I tripped the 60' timers with the back tires once.

Re: New video

Calming down the front end to keep it from going too high. I tightened up the extension on the front struts. Pulling the wheels really high looks cool but it's a lot of wasted energy.

Theoretically at sea level the car should run 8.8 or 8.9. Density altitude that day was hovering around 5000' so I'm losing a lot of HP due to the lack of air to burn.

Re: New video

Finally got around to doing some video editing, clipped the launch out and slowed it down. Quality sucks but it still shows me a lot of things I want to know. Looks like I'm really driving the rim into the ground on the initial hit. Slightly more tire pressure will help. I'll go up 1/2 pound next time. Compared to the slow motion video I got from a couple of years ago, I can see I have the suspension set up much better and now have little to zero wheel spin. The tire digs in a grabs the track.
