Re: why don't my ET's match my MPH?
good call. yeah, trans temps are still pretty low. highest i've ever seen them was 155*, that was on a 50mile round trip in 80* weather.

Matt - keep an eye on the trans temp with a blanket. You're running plenty cool enough now it shouldn't be an issue, but if it makes a notable difference you can easily bend up couple small flat straps to go around the trans(bolt to each side pan rail) and hold it up off the case a little.
just waiting on buying a billet dual bottle mount first

Instantly add converter stall, w/o having to take it out or send it off! If done well enough you can even turn an 8" converter into a 9-10"........though I don't reccomend that.

Re: why don't my ET's match my MPH?
yes, they are bullets.

ok guys...i've been thinking about this and i think my friends have talked some sense into me. i'm going to keep the converter in the car till i can afford an 8" and keep tweaking a bit. the car is so consistent, and i can cut a decent light, i think i'm going to just try my hand at some bracket racing and see how that does.

That 60' is pretty dead on for your 1/8 mile ET. When we run the 7.00 class, most of the guys 60's are in the 1.48-1.52 range. Mine is usually a 1.59 though, but at 102-103 mph. I made some new front limiters this year, anxious to try them out. I can adjust 1/4" at a time now when before it was a whole chain length.

I am seriously contemplating trying bullets to see if they will make a bit more power, some say the 1 chamber flows actually hold back a bit, not sure though.

for sure, i thought the same thing...just weird to me that it picks up like 25.8mph on the big end, so i'm just wondering if i could make it any more efficient down low...doesn't help that the car weighs nearly 3400lbs going down the track.

zone, the bullets were worth some power over the moroso spiral mufflers so i'd say they'd be work power over your flowmaster knockoff 1 chambers.

Re: why don't my ET's match my MPH?
That is why i am not so sure about bullets, trapping higher, making a bit more power but making the car even louder than it is? Not just sure if i can justify it or now, LOL, sure it would sound ridiculously bad ****.

Bullets are pretty damn loud but I still haven't been pulled over in the years I've been running them lol. Of course now, next time I take the car out that'll happen.

Re: why don't my ET's match my MPH?
a midway point would be to run dynomax ultraflo rounds or one of the magnaflow rounds. Straight thru like a bullet, but thicker case with more sound absorbing material.

Re: why don't my ET's match my MPH?
^ full case ultra-flows are a bit heavier, but don't rob any more power and are considerably quieter. The hooker max-flows are the same design, as are many magnaflows.

Matt, why not see if you can kick-up a used 4.30 gear and see how it reacts. Should be do-able for around $100.

SPRAY & PRAY BABY!!!!!!

Besides, you guys are the ones telling me how those LS motors are "touched by god" in that other thread, and I know several stock bottom-end BBC's that see 250-350 right off the brake, cast pistons/crank.

I was born there(mid state IL) and still have a lot of family there. I moved south for a reason, ya'll can have that cold weather. - It was 77* outside at 6am this morning, I rode my harley to work today in shorts and a t-shirt.

Smallest tune I own is 82/73, which is roughly 200-225.

I have the 50 shot pills Actually a really nifty box of 50,100,150,200,225,250 pills. So bring up that warm weather and lets set this up, we just had one of the top 5 snowstorms in chicago so we'll just tune around the 6 foot tall snow drifts from the plow trucks.
