I am racing this friend that lives by me. He has a 305 TBI just like me except its a stick shift and he has 3:73 gears non-posi and thats it. The rest is stock (forgot to mention that in the first post) So his engine is completly stock but he has 3:73 non posi and a stick shift. I have all the mods listed in my sig. Who would win in a race? Like we will eventually do it but winter is coming up and I am just curious. None of us have had our cars timed so we don;t know for sure. Just a little thing to talk about on here I guess. Leave your thoughts.

His stick shift and 3.73 gears alone won't beat you with all of your mods. He could make it a good race depending on how he does his shifting.

 

Oh, I also forgot to say that I have 103,000 miles and he has low miles. I can't remember what it is but I think its like around 50,000. If this makes any differnce. I have always taken care of the car and if you look at my engine pics at my site u can see I take very good care of it. If that means anything. Used that restore stuff too.

I would put my money on you. With open differential in the back he's not going to get a very good launch, which is where the 3.73s would really help him...There goes his only advantage. After that, it's all you.
