Beat 3 3rd gens.

Out on the Pike again last friday and saturday. Saturday was slow, but friday kicked *** . Beat a white 350 Iroc with cowl hood and a exhaust<that's all i can see>. Beat him easy...was no challenge...also beat a red Iroc..that kid did not know how to drive. Followed a burgundy 3rd gen that i wanted to race, but he wouldn't bite. I am lucky, cause 1/2 hour later i saw him take off on a late model z<93-97> like it was nothing.... Got beat by 2 SS's new body style, but not by much, 1/2 of car or less. Also, took a look at a 89 iroc with t-tops and a nice exhaust for sale...In the process of talking the guy down..

WHAT? NO STANG WHOPPIN'???!!!
Your car sounds pretty quick. The only thing that I have really given a good A** kickin to
was 90ish prelude. He got the jump on me(he had a five speed) I passed him at about 60. He was about two car lengths behind untill my gov cut me off! I thought that I was goin to get smoked. Maybe he just couldnt drive. Ricers are big down here, and I hate being spanked by a four banger w/a big tc. I also dont see why they have to scrape the ground. If they ran over a credit card it would take off the oil pan! Does anyone else think that they look retarded like that?

I hate all those kids whose parents but them a civic or integra, then the kid trys to make it fast. they get the "cold air intake" and that annoying muffler with the tip the size of a garbage can. there is a kid where i live, who used to have a ford splash with a blown mustang engine in it, but he sold it and the M&D race team (mom and dad)bought him an integra.

Let it go, guys... Fords whoops on Chevys all the time, just like Chevys and Pontiacs whoop on Ford all the time. Its just a matter of which car has the most mods, and which car has the better driver. There's always someone faster than you out there.

Hey Spitfire350, what are your mods and what do you run with these? I have a 91 GT that runs 11.80 @ 114.9 on the motor and soon to be in the 10's on the juice. (11.19 @121 100-shot) This car is street driven every day and to all the local racetracks around Northern Virginia.

I also have an 89 TurboTA that can hang with the Mustang.

Come on up to Virginia sometime.

I'll be in VA this weekend, in Fredericksburg. I'll see if my wife will ride in my 99 Z-28 all the way there. I'd like to try your Mustang, I'm a 11.80's car on Drag Radials and stock block, heads, cam LS1. You guys have to admit that the LS1 is the strongest factory motor produced besides the LS6.

sorry rich but no. the LS1 is great but there are so many other engines out there that are just plain awsome and the fact that they are 20 maybe 30 years old makes it even sweeter. it doesnt matter what make. ill give it to you that the LS6 and LS1 are great but you cant say whose better or best. there are just too many great engines out there.

Hey Vermes good job. sounds like your GT is a pretty sweet ride.TINFY

Your right about many types of engines. My thirdgen has a Buick V6 turbo and it should run as fast as any LS1. The Mustang club that I just joined rented Mason/Dixon drag strip on Friday 10/27. We had over 30 Mustangs there. My 91 GT was the quickest and was the second fastest. It ran its first 10 second pass at 10.98 @123.6 mph. A full second quicker than any other car there. The fastest car was a Saleen SSC on drag radials it went 11.87 @128.

Fredricksburg is about 50 miles south of where we hang out in Manassas, Va.

Let me know well in advance when you come up again and I will try to meet up with you.

Later, Pete
