Nice improvements
I went to the LS1.com dyno day here a while back with my Mustang to get a base line before I put the new motor in.
not trying to steal your thunder here, but figured I would share....
100% stock 1995 Mustang GT 5.0
146,000 miles has not been tuned up since 80,000 miles.
My best pull was RWHP: 192.7 TQ: 263.6
All of the LS1s pulled 300 RWHP and up....some were 100% stock, and a few were lightly modded.
Their was one C5 Vett that "only" pulled 298 RWHP....till he sprayed it and ran WELL over 400 RWHP
Dyno day was at Atlanta Chase Dyno

Jester,
Very good numbers for stock. Found my 350, gets an extreme cam, 1.6 rockers, light weight fly wheel, before installation. That'll happen in two weeks. Then I'll go back to the dyno, and see what grand changes there are, I hope. Expecting to get a LOT more torque, hopefully another 75 to 100hp, but we'll see on that. I'll post when the new numbers come in.

A ford 5.0 will always be better than a chev 5.0. They're totally differently designed engines. The 305 isn't designed for that kind of power. Now if the chev engine was the old 302 with the 4" bore it would be equal to, if not better than the ford version. At least it would be a better comparrison.

Best results before the 383 blew up
Best ET on a time slip: 11.857 altitude corrected to 11.163
Best MPH on a time slip: 117.87 altitude corrected to 126.10
Best 60 foot: 1.662
Racing at 3500 feet elevation but most race days it's over 5000 feet density altitude!

stephen, thats somewhat understandable. However, in this case the car gets a 350 in two weeks. the carb will change from the carter to edelbrock 1406, and the intake will change from performer to weiand. I'll do another dyno run then, just to see the differences. should be lots better.
