does anyone here use "FLAMING RIVER" steering box?

I am considering installing one, what are the advantages/disadvantages? it's a manual box probably with a lower ratio. it is in my jegs catalogue.it's add claims it to be good for racing,it's $579. how can it benifit the handling of a 3rd gen? anyone else make good man/ps S-gear boxes for 3rd gens?

For $60 I got a manual box from an '87 S10 and it's works beautifully...especially now that I have skinnies up front, but even with 215's it was fine.

don't get me wrong though, I'd love to use a flaming river box because it's smaller, lighter, and mine does leak about a drop every month, but for $580 that's not going to happen anytime soon.

A manual box from an 85-90 s10 and some s15's will work great. And they only cost about $50 from a yard. I have had one on my car for over a year now and it works great. A little tougher in parking lots, but good for ~20 lbs total.
