gears

I have a 85z tpi i have 3.23gears in the rear. I am thinking about putting 4.10s back there. would you suggest that or possibly 3.73s or 3.91s. I dont really care about the gas mlg i mainly use my z for drag or just cruzing and some small autox. and what will it do to my time in the 1/4? right now im running 14.6. any suggestion would help

what kind of mods do you have? The 3.73's or 4.10's would work great for auto-xing but would suck for drag racing. TPI cars dont have the upper RPM pull, so there's no need for steep gears. You'll run out of power before you hit the end of the track. 3.42's would probably work a lot better, but its up to you to decide if its worth it.
