nos octane booster

A friend of mine bought some but hasn't tried it yet. Is it worth it? Any personal experiences?

It makes a difference, not much, but don't use it. Its not good to keep putting it in an engine. Just use good high octane gas, thats all u need and it can't do anything to an engine.

most off the shelf octane boosters are worthless. those points of octane that they claim are really tenths of an oactant. so if it says" adds 5 points" it really means adds .5
there are a couple out there that actually do work. they usually have the word nitro in the name. they are bad smelling, they will ruin your cats and o2 sensor, but they do work.

I used to use it every time I went to the track, because it worked for me. But when I pulled my engine, everything in the combustion chamber was orange! And there was some sludge in the exhaust ports. I've got pics if you wanna see it. I'm using nothing but 100 octane at the track now, no more of that stuff.
