NFRA Event...pretty funny

You can tell a bunch of LT1/LS1 guys came up with the event. Under the rules theres a big stink cause they only listed L98/LT1/LS1 classes and the LB9/L03 305 guys are up in arms over it!
Don't get me wrong, I think it's great what they are trying to accomplish. However, like alot of new F-body clubs, the 4th gen guys tend to immediately alienate the 3rd gen people. Happened here in Jacksonville with the North Florida F-body Club. I think they have driven most every 3rd gen out.
Of course that just my opinion, I could be wrong.

i really gotta look at these rules. this sounds like a real mess if the classes are gonna be based on the engine platform you are working from.

In their defense, they are talking about modifying the rules to allow everyone to race. I guess it's pretty hard trying to get every detail perfect on a large event such as drag racing.

I think preston smith (that was his name right) should show up with his TT set-up tuned in and spank everybody there. Show them bastards to forget about the LB9.

well here's an FYI for ya:

they are only excluded those with a TBI setup for now because of the amount of time allowed to run classes and set rules up.

in the future...NFRA plans to incorportate carbed cars and most likely TBI/V6s IF there is enough interest.

any 305 TPI car can come and race. hope this clears up some confusion

It IS hard to get all that stuff sorted out. I just hope it goes over well and people can let some things slide just to get this thing off the ground. Id love to see carbs let into this thing in the future. hell, id like to see them now. *shrug*
