Engine: it's stock LOL
Transmission: 700rJunk
Axle/Gears: 2 much 4 street not enough for strip
Both cares being equal in condition (tune-up) the 91 would win having roughly 230hp to the '87s 190 - 210 range.
Things needed for better reply:
Types of transmissions
Gear ratio of the '91
Sparks a flyin'

The 91 Firebird has 2 12" Subs in the back, More or less bone stock....The 87 Iroc has Homemade Ram-Air, K&N filters, and new Injectors.....And I've got no subs or what not to way me down....
you might have him if he is stock and you have mods. race and see that is the only way to know for sure

I'll try to run his Vin to see what he's got.....I'm not sure what rear-end he has though but it's realy funny he just bought 14 inch rims on his car with skinny *** tires WTF.. lol..He'll have no traction....

The VIN wont tell you what transmission or rear end ratio he has... You have to look at the RPO codes for the rear end ratio and the transmission is obvious, I hope.

Please do me a favor and punch the guy in the mouth after you beat his stupid *** .
If it is a 5spd just look for dual cats to see if he has got the hot 305 w/ the 3.42s or the weaker output motor and weak rear combo.
