VW BS

I have raced one of those newer VW GTI 6 cylinder cars and he barely beat me. His car is a stick, and my car is an automatic. His is bone stock, and i have the K&N open air element. Can any1 tell me what i need to do to my car so i can beat him? Any suggestions would be helpful

you might want to ask the guys on the TBI board what to do if youre a TBI or the guys on the V6 board if you have a V6

the new vr6s usually run low 15s high 14s. They arent that bad but I don't think they have much room for potential.
There is a guy with a 98 GTI VR6 in Jersey that was talking so much smack to me. He just bought a Vortech supercharger. Josephandres who has an 88 355TPI GTA (14.1 1/4mile) beat the guy off the line and on the highway. Glad he did, now I don't have to waste the gas on him . haha Made my day.

by the way 89rosrod, one of those barely beat me when I was 100% stock. You must drive well. Although I did need a tune up, couldnt drive stick, and bogged out my launch. I found the guy about a month ago on the road and he wouldnt wait for me to race. He must of heard the whine

Well if he barely beat you then you dont have much to do. I say headers, catback, and definitely some custom prom work.

That should make him some nice "rearview mirror scenery"
