I am an 89 trans am, 305, and i was talking to a friend of mine that drives a mustang and he said that he was going to run a short belt (cutting out some of his useless pulleys. Is it possible to run a shorty off my alternator, water pump, and crank, or is it not possible because of the water pump set up. It is the full serpentine setup (one belt). Help soon since i am dragging tomorrow at 8:00. If it is possible to eliminate the quess-work, do you know the length of the belt? If not ooh well. Thanks.
